There's another example, the one about Aaron! Plenty more like that in the Bible! Aaron is a very good one, though.

I too was thrown by the "it's who you blow" phrase. Good thing it was clarified.

If it wouldn't have been for a whistle blower, the WTBTS would've still been affiliated with the UN. And who really knows what other organizations they're affiliated with, but forbid their members to even go to a YMCA/YWCA location for exercise!

Hey, here's another warped conclusion... Scientists say that the human body can function properly with only a quarter of a kidney. So, why did the Creator gave us two kidneys then? Did he suspect that when we discovered the entertaining effect of alcohol we'd consume it in excess and then it would take 2 kidneys to process all the toxins?! Think about it!

Then I thought some more... It makes perfect sense that humans should be this way! I mean, we were created in God's image, according to the Bible of course, and this same God behaves in such a way, so of course his creation will behave likewise!

So here I am thinking, meditating if you will, on my biblical upbringing; then I came to the conclusion..... It's all about who you know! Even in biblical times. For real!!!

Take the example of King David. Remember how he commited adultery, first in his mind and heart then carried it out in the flesh, then tried to cover it up and when he couldn't do it then he had the guy in a sure death position at a war. Remember?!!!

Then, to add insult to injury, he carried on like nothing happened, and if it wouldn't have been for a whistle blower he would've concealed this forever! (Remind you all of the WTBTS UN deal?!)

But, did he pay the ultimate price that their own law stipulated for adultery, or for killing someone?! NO, of course NO!!!!!!!!!! Why???!!! Because it's all about who you know. He was God's designated King! The Law didn't apply the same to him, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I said to myself "self, don't sweat the stuff that's goes on in the Org, because God himself set the pattern on how things are done!".

It's all about who you know, I'm telling you all!!!

does money talk in the cong?

the jw i dated had lots of money and seemed to take the religion pretty much a la carte.

when it was to his advantage he'd play the religion card, but he seemed to get away with a lot.

by that i mean he owned and flew an ultralight, spent lots of time at the airport with non jws, slept with me (although they didn't know that), traveled to europe 2x to take his non jw mom to france, spends a lot of time visiting his mom in fl.

Money talks loudly among the JWs. The more you have, the more considerations and more relaxed rules would apply to you and yours.

But, taken all into consideration, that's just a common human imperfection. In all realms of life, money talks, and bull shit walks, not just amond JWs.

Do you think God would mind if you called him an @sshole??

now i don't know if there is a "god",,but if there was one,, would he get mad like the jehovah in the bible if you slighted him in some way??.

i know many people are afraid to call down evil on jehovah or jesus,,they feel god might hurt them in some way if they take up his name in a less than respectful way.

i personal would not be inclind to view "god" to be like that at all.. if this god made everything in existance he must have intelligence that is vastly greater than ours,,he certainly wouldn't have the same emotions as us,,like fear,,anxiety,etc...they would only get in the way of good clear judgements,,and screw thing up for him just like they do to us sometimes.. to think that this 'god" would get angry at us for blaming him for something and calling him names is rediculous,,example: would you get mad at an earthworm because it didn't like you,,or because he swore at you when you stepped on his nieghborhood ant hill??

At times I've felt so impotent about the awful situation of many that I have called God that name and more many a times, under my breath, in my my mind, and aloud too.

I feel he's as much responsible for what's going wrong on Earth as the ones causing it, because he allows it.

No New Book To Study WTF

I need some advise (I want to get divorced)

i'll start this post off by saying i love my wife, she has beautiful qualities and a sweet personality.

however i realize (and i think she does too, though she may not admit it) that since i left the org behind our goals and viewpoints are no longer unified.

as a couple we rarely fight or argue, we still have many of the same values but yet we have some issues that i know will never be fully resolved.

Wow, tough situation you're in.

Open up your heart to your wife and maybe you both can come to an agreement of divorce. I mean, maybe she can reach deep down and realize she doesn't want to live with someone that doesn't invest the same into the relationship.
